A visiting artist who knows art education from the inside.

I design residencies, workshops, and professional development that don’t just inspire your students — they strengthen your art program.

TRUSTED BY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS ACROSS ASIA

WHO I AM

30 years in the art room — now I bring that experience to yours.

I’m a practicing artist and a career international-school art teacher. With nearly 30 years in classrooms across Hong Kong, Beijing, Mumbai, and Casablanca, I understand how international schools think, how IB and DSE programs work, and what it actually takes to embed meaningful creative experiences into a school. My writing about art education, curriculum design, and AI in the classroom can be found here.

I design residencies that strengthen your Visual Arts program — not just energize it. I arrive understanding your objectives, I work alongside your teachers, and I design projects that connect personal expression to global themes — and to the goals you’re already pursuing.

I’m based in Hong Kong, passport in hand, and currently booking residencies for the 2026–27 school year.

WHAT I OFFER

Residencies, workshops & teacher PD

Every engagement is built around what your program needs — here’s what schools most often ask for.

Multi-Day Studio Residencies

I lead students through an ambitious project connecting personal voice to global themes — giving your department a high-impact, finished body of work and renewed momentum.

Single-Day & Short Workshops

A focused burst of energy and fresh perspective for your students, with art-history inspiration, ideation methods, and examples from schools around the world.

Embedding Global Citizenship

Practical strategies to weave global competency and the SDGs into your art program — so creativity becomes a vehicle for the dispositions your school already values

Curriculum Review & PD

Half- or full-day sessions for your art faculty: reviewing your visual-arts curriculum, building thematic units with authentic assessment, and strengthening analytical writing and language enrichment.

HOW IT WORKS

Simple to book, carefully planned

From first email to finished projects, here’s what working together looks like.

We Talk

You tell me your goals, your students, and your curriculum. We shape an idea together.

I Design

I build a custom project plan tailored to your objectives during dedicated pre-visit planning time.

I Visit

I work alongside your students and teachers, leading the project and supporting your faculty

You Keep the Gains

Your students finish a meaningful body of work — and your teachers leave with new tools..

WHAT TEACHERS SAY

You were great with the kids and have a wonderful sense of humor. I can tell you’re a teacher, because everything you do is through the lens of an educator.

Middle School Art Teacher

What a couple of weeks it has been.  Thanks for all your hard work and enthusiasm with the project, there is some excellent work coming out of the classes, and I am sure that the students attitudes have changed about the SDG goals.

Program Coordinator

So much value. He framed the discussion around what we want students to learn, and connected it to helping them develop into capable, creative people — our end purpose.

High School Art Teacher

I am just writing to thank you for participating in our ISSEA art festival. It was seen as a huge success and I was told the other day that the cardboard art was so much fun and the students loved it because it was so hands-on.

Festival Coordinator

These sessions are ideal to get alignment and commitment to a direction. Thanks again for your help with this.
