Brian Reverman

artist, teacher, videographer, and author of the book series, Practical Guides for the Idealistic Art Teacher.

As a former art teacher myself, I know it is not always easy to find a visiting artist, who along with their artistic expertise, knows how to work and communicate effectively with kids and teachers.

My experience as an artist, combined with my nearly 30 years as a teacher, allow me to structure art projects which inspire and engage students in activities which also meet your curriculum objectives.

I get jazzed helping students learn about the many ways art can express ideas. I’d love to hear from you about how I can come to your school and enhance your program.

For 16 years, I taught high school and middle school art at international schools in Morocco, India, and China.

I present professional development workshops on curriculum development, fostering critical thinking through analyzing art, and the role of art courses in developing global competence.

I’ve also recently published two books of art projects as part of the series, Practical Guides for the Idealistic Art Teacher.

In collaboration with colleagues around the world, I produce the ISB Art History Channel on YouTube.

In 2018, I began acting as the visual arts consultant for Inspire Citizensa consortium of teachers developing programs for building empathy and global competence in students.

I’m fully booked for Artist Residencies working with students through 2021, but I’m still available for weekend, or online, Professional Development workshops with art teachers or for Visual Arts curriculum review consultations.

I'm based in Hong Kong but have passport in hand.
